Abstract
The sensor offset as a function of the ring rotation angle with respect to the detector coil has been studied for three different fluxgate sensors of the ringcore type. The core material consists of metallic glass ribbons which have been heat treated in different ways so that different magnetization curves and noise levels are obtained. For the best core the offsets are rather low (a few nT) and only slightly dependent on the rotation angle. Keywords
