Abstract
The Research Institute for Fragrance Materials, Inc., [New Jersey, USA] is the largest repository of safety data on fragrance raw materials anywhere in the world. In its ongoing program, it has tested 553 materials and has published, or submitted for publication, monographs on 349 of them. The ubiquity of fragrances as such, and in cosmetics, household goods, insect repellents, etc., makes the responsibility of such an Institute a significant one, and it is hoped that in time, this ingredient approach, responded to zealously by the industry, will eliminate potential offenders from fragrances worldwide. This publication has 13 references indexed in Scilit:
