Abstract
The data from the experimental study of the and decay modes in the 12-in.xenon bubble chamber have been reanalyzed without the assumption of time-reversal invariance. If a local, interaction is assumed, the matrix element for the decay is characterized by two form factors, and . The ratio of these form factors must be real if the interaction is invariant under time reversal. The experimental distribution in two variables ( and ) has been fitted to the theoretical distribution with the real and imaginary parts of as parameters. It is found that the imaginary part of is consistent with zero and is less than 2.4 with 90% confidence. A further test of nonlocality is also presented.
