Further Analysis of Form Factors inKμ3+Decay

Abstract
The data from the experimental study of the Kμ3+ and Ke3+ decay modes in the 12-in.xenon bubble chamber have been reanalyzed without the assumption of time-reversal invariance. If a local, VA interaction is assumed, the matrix element for the Kμ3+ decay is characterized by two form factors, f+ and f. The ratio of these form factors ξ=ff+ must be real if the interaction is invariant under time reversal. The experimental distribution in two variables (pπ and pμ) has been fitted to the theoretical distribution with the real and imaginary parts of ξ as parameters. It is found that the imaginary part of ξ is consistent with zero and is less than 2.4 with 90% confidence. A further test of nonlocality is also presented.
