Abstract
The ecology of Leishmania of man is concerned with the circulation of the parasite in nature from one mammal to another by the bite of phlebotomine sandflies. The natural vertebrate hosts are anthropocentrieally referred to as reservoir hosts although in sorac foci of human leishmaniasis (anthroponotic cutaneous leishmaniasis and Indian kala-azar) man himself is thought to be the reservoir. Keywords
