Plasma Somatomedin Activity, Growth-Hormone and Insulin Levels in Vitamin B6Deficient Rats

Abstract

Plasma somatomedin activity was low in rats fed a vitamin B6 deficient diet for 4 weeks. The reduction appears to be in the fraction which is not growth hormone dependent. Plasma growth hormone levels were unaltered while plasma insulin levels were significantly reduced.
