Abstract
The synthesis of the dibenzo[d,f][1,3,2]dioxaphosphepin ring system from substituted biphenyl-2,2′-diols and alkylphosphonous dichlorides is described. The NMR spectral data are consistent with either rapidly interconverting ring conformers or a static non-planar ring conformation.Keywords
