Abstract
Guinea pig inclusion conjunctivitis provides a useful animal model of chiamydial ocular infection. In this study the model was used as a test system for the evaluation of topical antichlamydial therapy. The results suggest that the in-vivo activity of spiramycin shown by the model is much greater than that expected from the MIC of the drug when measured in an in-vitro cell culture system. Keywords
