Abstract
The frequency of authors contributing 1, 2, etc., papers to the index of the Review of Applied Mycology (1935) was detd. for 1085 authors. Those who contributed 2 and those with more than 4 papers constitute a group which does not belong to the same series with authors publishing 1, 3, or 4 papers. The distribution of frequencies of authors (or joint authors) communicating 1, 2, 3, 4 papers to the Comptes Rendus de la Societe de Biologic in 1935 approximates the distribution y = (4.25)x closely, as shown by the chi-square test. A similar formula expresses multiple births of human beings. The publications on viruses from Cook''s Partial Bibliography can be plotted as a straight line, using the equation log y=[long dash]k log x.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
