Abstract
Pineapple is grown as a single crop without rotation. Under such a system there is a gradual decline in soil productivity, brought about in part by development of a deleterious complex of soil organisms, both macro and micro. D-D mixture (1.3 dichloropropene and 1.2 dichloropropane) was effectively used as a fumigant without soil cover to bring about conditions favorable to pineapple production. It was especially effective in soils heavily infected with nematodes and Anomala larvae. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
