Abstract
From time to time, The Australian Surveyor has provided a forum for the debate of significant issues. The last such debate was the adoption of the ISN Co-ordinate System in New South Wales. It appears that a new period of debate is being entered as the turn of the century approaches and the new systems that may be installed in the nineties to support the work in the next century. One of the items to be debated is a new datum. The following is a transcript from a Forum on some aspects of introducing a new homogeneous system.
