Abstract
The semiclassical approach to electron attachment processes in the framework of the nonlocal theory of resonance electron-diatomic system collisions is described. The basic integro-differential equation of this theory is reduced to a second-order differential equation, the semiclassical solution of this equation is given in an analytical form. This solution presents a straightforward generalisation of the semiclassical results in the local theory case. The cross section of the attachment process is determined with the help of the unitarity condition. This cross section may have an oscillatory dependence on the electron energy, the origin of these oscillations is elucidated. Keywords
