Early Changes in Collateral Flow Following Coronary Artery Ligation: The Role of the Sympathetic Nervous System

Abstract
Collateral flow rates were measured for 6 hr after experimental myocardial infarction. Variations in the depth of anaesthesia, and procedures aimed at blocking the sympathetic system did not prevent infarction, and did not increase collateral flow.
