Abstract
Daily intertidal plankton samples have established a semi-lunar periodicity of spawning in Littorina littorea (L.). Within the general pattern of seasonal spawning, the density of egg capsules in the surface waters and the state of development of the embryos show that oviposition takes place on both full and new moon spring tidesThis publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
