Myositis Ossificans Progressiva

Abstract
A Description of the clinical and radiological features of myositis ossificans progressiva is given. Torticollis in childhood and trismus with total incapacity in adult life were important disabilities. Extensive ectopic ossification developed and congenital abnormalities of the skeleton were present, including synostosis of the thumbs, asymmetrical clinodactyly, and marked hallux values. An unusual finding was a right-sided aortic arch and a grossly abnormal electrocardiogram.
