Abstract
The standard definition of information is introduced and it is shown using elementary methods that given three basic properties that the. measure of information must satisfy, there is only one possible definition. The main properties of entropy are introduced, again using elementary calculus and a particular example is given which connects entropy with an uncertainty principle. The various cases are considered using the theory of convergence of infiniteKeywords
