RESULTS OF SURGICAL-TREATMENT OF NON-AMBULATORY RHEUMATOID PATIENTS

Abstract
Total joint replacements were performed in 37 nonambulatory rheumatoid patients. Postoperatively, 35 patients regained the ability to walk. Such operations should be performed only when at least these criteria are satisfied as follows: strong motivation for restoration of walking ability, good relationship between physician and patient, absence of severe systemic complications and rheumatoid arthritis can be controlled by medication.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
