Abstract
The elastic scattering of high-energy electrons from the magnetic dipole and magnetic octupole moments of light nuclei is calculated using shell-model wave functions. The results of the calculation are compared with recent experimental results for and and the possibility of obtaining a value for the magnetic octupole moment from an analysis of these experiments is discussed.
