Abstract
A search has been made for mesons and hyperons produced by a well-collimated beam of 1.95-Bev protons in a hydrogen-filled diffusion chamber. One case of associated production was observed, which is interpreted as . In a total track length of 2.4× g/ of hydrogen, no other hyperons or mesons were observed to be produced. It is concluded that the cross section for production of mesons and hyperons is probably less than 0.4 mb.
