Utilization of Urban Wastes in Crop Production

Abstract
Land has a great capacity to absorb, break down, and filter a wide variety of urban wastes without polluting the air, water, or soil. Limitations on this use are inorganic or organic constituents that may reduce plant growth or quality of that contaminate ground water. Although the economic benefits to agriculture from applying waste to land are generally minimal, the benefits to urban governments are substantial.
