Abstract

Galvanic skin reflexes (GSR), measured in microamperes and obtained by means of a galvanometer using a bucking circuit, were conditioned to the sight of 4 words. A buzzer served as the conditioning stimulus. After conditioning, transfer of the GSR to a synonym and a homophone for each of the original words was tested. Carry-over was greatest for the synonyms.
