Abstract
SUMMARY: The incidence and acquisition ofCandida albicansand other yeasts in two wards of a skin hospital is described. Carriage rates on the skin in hospital patients is higher than is generally supposed, and cutaneous sites may act as sources of infection with these organisms.Keywords
