Abstract
The author presents the principle of a linear-quadratic array. To calculate the optimal processor, it is necessary to know the statistical properties of the signals up to the fourth order. Using an appropriate scalar product the optimum array is calculated, and the improvement in performance is discussed in a particular case of white noise. Keywords
