Abstract
Statistical notations and techniques for analyzing stochastic point processes were reviewed. The cumulative sums (cusums), a method of industrial quality control was implemented for the selection of stationary data segments in spontaneous recording, and for the detection of stimulus-related nonstationarities in driven neuronal activity. Keywords
