Abstract
Alcohol was given orally to 41 healthy young male volunteers from small Hindu (Reddis) farming villages in south and central Andhra Pradesh, India. A complete description of the Reddis study, plus transcultural group differences, is given, and the alcohol metabolism and sensitivity literature is critically reviewed.Keywords
