Abstract
Very accurate cross sections of tree boles were obtained by measuring the radial distances between the inner edge of a metal ring encompassing the tree and its surface. The ring may be adjusted to the horizontal plane. By means of the instrument the distribution of at least one lichen was shown to be correlated with bark microrelief. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
