Representative bibliography on load forecasting

Abstract
Load forecasting has always been an integral part of power system planning and operation. However, it did not receive as much attention in the past as it deserves because the fuel supplies, especially hydrocarbons, were cheap and abundant, and utilities could find funds for erecting enough gas/oil generating plants at relatively short lead times. In the last few years, the conditions have considerably changed and the past practices will have to be suitably modified. Load forecasting will assume greater importance and, therefore, it will receive more attention. To assist engineers working in this area, a representative cross section of publications related to load forecasting are listed in this paper.
