On Kaluza-Klein theory with torsion

Abstract
In the context of five-dimensional Kaluza-Klein theory with torsion it is shown that if one accepts the principle that spinning particles (including gauge fields) generate and react to torsion then the usual scalar field in Kaluza-Klein theory must be related to a torsion potential.Keywords
