Abstract
Pileups of elliptical dislocation loops on the basal plane of a hexagonal crystal are analyzed. Explicit expressions for the distribution function, the number of loops, and the elastic energy of a pileup are derived. The average stress concentration along the tip of the pileup (the average tip stress) is calculated by using Moutier's theorem. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
