Abstract
On the basis of studies of wood sections the orientations of anticlinal partitions were established over two cambial areas, of 70 cm2 and 90 cm2, in Thuja stem during a few successive years. Similar determinations were also performed over longer time periods in limited sections of cambium in Thuja, Larix, and Pinus. The term "domain" was introduced to designate a sector of the cambium where anticlinal partitions are tilted in one direction. It is shown that the domains differ in size and that the domain pattern changes with time. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
