Abstract
A cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna fed by a microstripline is studied. By connecting a vertical strip at the end of the microstripline, the input matching of a dielectric resonator antenna can be improved substantially. Moreover, it offers an impedance bandwidth as wide as 19% and a stable radiation pattern across the operating frequency range. Keywords
