Abstract
Frozen serum pools used as strict unknowns with the daily clinical chemistry determinations provide a measure of the repro-ducibility of the determinations as done on patient serum. When used as strict unknowns for the routine technical staff, these pools show more variable results than when the pools are not strictly unknown and the testing done by one well-trained individual. These pools are also of value in determining the reproducibility of different methods for determining a specific substance such as serum chloride. Keywords
