Abstract
Glass-transition phenomena occurring in crystalline states of orientational and positional disorder, random-site electric-dipoles and competing ferro-antiferroelectrics are reviewed and the structural properties of the glassy phases are discussed. Systematic studies of dielectric constants, heat capacity, lattice parameters, x-ray diffuse scattering profiles and EXAFS spectra in a competing ferro-antiferroelectric system (RbH2PO4)1-x(NH4H2PO4)x, (RDP)1-x(ADP)x near the glass-transition are reported. Analogues of dielectric glasses to spin glasses are discussed. Keywords
