Novel bubble drive

Abstract
The interaction between a bubble and a distributed current flowing in a neighboring non‐uniform conductor is proposed as the basis of a novel bubble drive. The effect of a conducting sheet perforated in a periodic pattern and excited by a rotating or oscillating current sequence is investigated by computer simulation. Results indicate that a bubble manipulation capability comparable to field‐access drives may be accomplished in this way without coils.
