Short- and long-range correlations of produced particles at very high energies

Abstract

Results on short- and long-range correlations in charged particles produced at 800-GeV proton energy are presented. There are strong short-range correlations in the central region whereas the alleged long-range correlations between the two fragmentation zones also depend upon the central region.
