Abstract
Sera from patients with molluscum contagiosum showed a higher incidence of anti-cellular and fibrillar anticellular antibodies [Ab] of Ig[immunoglobulin]M class as compared to sera from control subjects. Most patients with anti-cellular IgM Ab had molluscum contagiosum virus-specific Ab. There was a higher incidence of anti-cellular IgM Ab to normal human epidermis and fibrillar anti-cellular IgM Ab in molluscum contagiosum than in warts or psoriasis. The incidence in psoriasis was lower than warts and was similar to that found in control subjects. This publication has 19 references indexed in Scilit:
