Composition of Vietnamese cajuput essential oil

Abstract
A detailed analysis of cajuput essential oil—an industrial product from Vietnam—has been carried out by combining column chromatography, gas chromatography, GC–MS, IR and NMR spectroscopy. It contains 61 components of which 48 have been identified. The taxonomy of the material used was discussed and the antibacterial properties of the essential oil are mentioned.Keywords
