Abstract
Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov calculations have been performed for even-even isotopes using the Kuo-Brown reaction matrix elements for the Hamada-Johnston potential. The possibility of generalized pairing is explored by considering , and plus correlations for the axial and triaxial shapes. It is found that only for the nuclei with there is a small contribution by the pairing correlations. Only the pairing correlations are important for the ground-state solutions.
