Abstract
Actinomycin D at a concentration inhibitory for nucleolar RNA synthesis did not influence the development of priming in mouse fibroblast L cells. Higher concentrations of the drug and long-term .alpha.-amanitine or cycloheximide pretreatments, inhibitory for heterogenous nuclear RNA synthesis, prevented the establishment of the primed state. The inhibition of mitochondrial DNA and protein synthesis did not inhibit the priming effect of interferon. Attempts to prime cells with pretreatments other than interferon were not successful. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
