Abstract
Clinical isolates of coagulase‐negative cocci identified as members of the family Micrococcaceae, were tested for production of enterotoxin A, B, and C in broth culture by the use of an ELISA method. Out of 117 strains tested, 12 were enterotoxin producers, of which 4 strains belonged to the genus Staphylococcus and 8 strains to the genus Micrococcus. Except for one strain producing all three types of enterotoxin, the strains produced toxins of type A (5 strains) or type C (6 strains). Keywords
