Abstract
• The development of behavioral techniques for the control of obesity in children is reviewed. Techniques developed for the treatment of obese adults have recently been modified for use with children, and to date, six studies exist that have evaluated their use. The results are encouraging and it appears that behavior therapy offers new promise in the treatment of this difficult problem. The review ends with a survey of behavioral techniques and suggestions for further reading. (Am J Dis Child 132:403-412, 1978)This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
