Abstract
Of 13 patients having desquamative interstitial pneumonia, six patients had abnormal serum antibody levels for extrapulmonary symptoms, while eight patients had interstitial fibrosis as a histological feature. Follow-up has shown that three patients died of disease and one shows progressive pulmonary insufficiency. The presence of pulmonary fibrosis in the biopsy specimen correlated with the clinical outcome. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
