Abstract
Although seasonal mood variations have been recognized for a long time, only in the last several years have they been related to hormonal abnormalities or neurochemical changes. Conditions thought to be associated with these disorders are as diverse as jet lag and premenstrual syndrome. In this article, the authors focus on seasonal affective disorder and discuss the use of phototherapy in its management. Keywords
