Abstract
Creatine phosphokinase of human skeletal muscle and heart may be resolved electrophoretically into three bands. In muscular dystrophy as well as in other myopathies studied, the creatine phosphokinase isoenzymes of skeletal muscle show no characteristic abnormality in their patterns. Total muscle creatine phosphokinase activity is quantitatively diminished in some severely dystrophic muscles but is unchanged in other myopathic conditions. Keywords
