Abstract
A STUDY of mortality among uranium miners of the Colorado Plateau has suggested that they are experiencing more cancer of the respiratory tract than the general white male population of the same region.1 , 2 Radioactivity in the mines has been the suspected carcinogenic agent. To explore the possibility that other mining exposures have played a part in the genesis of this cancer, the mortality among a group of metal miners in the United States who have been occupationally exposed to relatively low levels of radioactivity was studied. Presented here is an unusual mortality experience observed among this metal-mining group.MethodsSelected . . .Keywords
