Abstract
The fluorescence and absorption spectra of anthracene‐d10 in a fluorene matrix at 4.2°K have been measured and analyzed. In the ground electronic state seven ag and two fundamentals have been assigned, while in the first‐excited electronic state (1B1u) six ag and four fundamentals were located. Other possible fundamentals are indicated. Earlier data concerning ag and fundamentals of anthracene‐h10 are critically reviewed and compared with the present results.
