Abstract
Infant colic is a common disorder of doubtful aetiology. The known facts have been interpreted in a historical and geographical context The apparent increase in incidence of the condition in the Westernized world during the twentieth century may reflect the technological advances and social changes that have occurred in recent years.Keywords
