The atomic polarisability of krypton and xenon

Abstract
Mean static dipole polarisabilities are calculated for the ground states of atomic krypton and xenon using a variation-perturbation approach with a configuration interaction formalism. The values obtained are 16.79 and 27.78 a30 for krypton and xenon, respectively.Keywords
