Abstract
Thioxanthone compounds are promising but expensive, acridine compounds work excellently in vitro but show little value in vivo, and diamidines also show some promise. All were tested against Schistosoma mansoni infections in baboons. Further research among the miracils is the most promising for finding a replacement for the trivalent antimony compounds now in use. Keywords
