Abstract
Segregation of commercial heparin was not obtained by the use of acetone, alcohol, and dioxane. The 2 components shown by electrophoresis are precipitated concurrently in a 2-step process. In the 1st step there is a discrepancy between the anticoagulant and metachromatic activity of the remaining solute material. The unexplained phenomenon constitutes a source of error in eolorimetric heparin assays. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
