Abstract
Complications following nasogastric intubation in patients with basal skull fractures are well documented. This report is of a rare cause of inadvertent intracranial placement of a nasogastric (NG) tube in a non-trauma patient. The patient subsequently died. The use of NG tubes, their place in airway management, and lessons to be learned from this case are discussed. Keywords
